GERMANY’S CIOLEK WINS UNDER 23 MEN’S ROAD RACE

Gerald Ciolek of Germany is the new under 23 men?s road race world champion after storming to victory in Salzburg on Saturday morning.

Ciolek was part of the decisive six-rider break that formed with two laps to go and then won the title with a powerful sprint. Frenchman Romain Feillu and Alexander Khatuntsev of Russia was third.
