John Degenkolb wrote a message to his Facebook fans reporting that his finger was repaired following the crash, while Tour de France general classification rider Warren Barguil suffered a fractured wrist.
In total, six riders were injured in the incident, which reportedly occurred when a British national drove on the wrong side of the road towards the group of cyclists, hitting them head-on.
Frenchman Barguil, who finished 14th in the 2015 Tour, suffered a fractured scaphoid, which may require surgery.
Degenkolb, who won both Milan-San Remo and Paris-Roubaix, had successful surgery on wounds on his neck and chin, while an orbital fracture will be treated in the coming days.
