After disappointment on Mont Ventoux 24 hours earlier, Demi Vollering (FDJ United-SUEZ) stormed into the yellow jersey of the 2026 Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift on stage 8, winning the stage with an impressive late attack into Nice.
Overnight leader Kasia Niewiadoma-Phinney (Canyon-SRAM) slips to second place, with Marlen Reusser (Movistar) in third.
The green jersey is still held by Lorena Wiebes (SD Worx-Protime) after the Dutch sprinter won the first two stages. Wiebes won the intermediate sprint, but had her lead cut as Vollering took 50 points for the stage win.
Puck Pieterse (Fenix-Premier Tech), who won the white jersey back in 2024, remains the Queen of the Mountains. Pieterse should take home the polkadot jersey with a commanding lead heading into the final day.
Antonia Niedermaier (Canyon-SRAM) keeps possession of the white jersey ahead of Paula Blasi (UAE Team l'Imad) and Isabella Holmgren (Lidl-Trek). UAE Team l'Imad continue to lead the team classification.
