Michal Golas announced as Team Sky's latest signing
British team are announcing six new signings over the coming days, with former Polish champion their second to be revealed on Thursday
Team Sky have announced Michal Golas as their second signing of six to be announced this week, with the Pole joining the British team from Etixx - Quick-Step.
Sky revealed the signing of young Italian rider Gianni Moscon earlier on Thursday as a neo-pro, with British pair Alex Peters and Tao Geoghegan Hart having already signed-up earlier this year.
The 31-year-old has spent four years with the Belgian team and his most notable victories have included a Polish national road race title in 2012, the 2015 Kampioenschap van Vlaaderen and the sprint classification at the Tour of Britain.
Golas has been a professional since joining the Unibet.com team in 2007 and has completed four Grand Tours - the Giro d'Italia and the Tour de France twice each - and will joining Sky to continue work in a domestique role.
"I'm very proud to be joining Team Sky, and extremely motivated for next year," Golas said.
"I have always admired the team's philosophy, and the success they have achieved over the years. I can't wait to start learning from, and supporting, some of the greatest riders in the sport."
Team Principal Sir Dave Brailsford added on his new signing: "Michał is a strong, solid all-rounder who will really fit into the engine room of this team.
