HOY Bikes has added a new children’s road bike model to its existing range: a 24-inch wheel machine featuring aluminium frameset and Shimano gears.
The Cammo 24 joins the existing 650c wheel model launched at the end of last year, and is part of a newly-expanded range of childrens’ bikes that now incorporates entry-level balance, track, off-road and road bikes in a variety of wheel and frame sizes.
Like its 650c cousin, the Cammo 24 is a scaled-down ‘proper’ road bike with drop bars, Shimano drivetrain components and Tektro caliper brakes. A double chainset and eight-speed cassette gives a spread of 16 gears, activated by a Microshift short-reach shifter – perfect for smaller hands.
HOY says that the Cammo 24 is perfect for children aged between 9 and 11 years, and is priced at £400. HOY bikes – including a full range of adult models too – are available through Evans Cycles.
