Two helmets in as many days arrived at CW, both claiming to be the lightest in the world. The Limar Pro 104 at 180g (size S/M 54-57cm), claims to beat the Specialized 2D at 184g (size small 51-57cm).

With small weight fluctuations in every individual helmet, it?s a tough call but the Pro 104 just has the edge. The Limar is a minimalist and sleek monocoque construction with an in-moulded shell, 22 large vents taking care of cooling, and Coolmax pads to wick away sweat.

Colour options are red/carbon, white/carbon or matt black/carbon and the alternative size choice is L/XL (56-61cm) with fine-tuning of the fit via a dial on the rear of the retention system.

Limar helmets come with a two-year manufacturer?s warranty and a three-year crash replacement scheme, which isn?t a bad package for £69.99.
