Cavendish joins Armstrong for Livestrong video
Lance Armstrong invited Mark Cavendish and Columbia-HTC team-mate George Hincapie to take part in Tuesday's Livestrong video in the Texan's hotel room in Limoges prior to stage 10.
Armstrong posts up daily videos from the Tour de France on the Livestrong website, and yesterday's clip included a not-so-serious contribution from the British sprinter.
During the video, Armstrong revealed that he had been out for a training ride during Monday's rest day with the Columbia team, and joked that Cavendish smelt a bit during the ride.
At the end of the clip, Armstrong dedicated Tuesday's stage ride to Andreas Knickman, the son of former pro rider Roy Knickman and who has just been diagnosed with cancer, and stated that Cavendish would win the stage for him.
And win it he did, the Manxman taking his third stage win of the 2009 Tour.

Nigel Wynn worked as associate editor on CyclingWeekly.com, he worked almost single-handedly on the Cycling Weekly website in its early days. His passion for cycling, his writing and his creativity, as well as his hard work and dedication, were the original driving force behind the website’s success. Without him, CyclingWeekly.com would certainly not exist on the size and scale that it enjoys today. Nigel sadly passed away, following a brave battle with a cancer-related illness, in 2018. He was a highly valued colleague, and more importantly, an exceptional person to work with - his presence is sorely missed.
