Kevin Sireau's spectacular sprint crash
The CW hub: full worlds coverage>>>
When Kevin Sireau hit the deck in the semi finals of the men's sprint, our photographer Andy Jones was standing in just the right place to see the Frenchman go skidding past.
Sireau's compatriot Gregory Bauge somehow managed to stay upright despite his back wheel skidding round to the side.
Bauge went on to win the title over a much improved Azizulhasni Awang of Malaysia while Sireau got cleaned up, put on a new skinsuit and beat Australia's Shane Perkins in the bronze medal ride.
Sireau is no stranger to crashing, it was his 'sticky-out' elbow that caused Chris Hoy to crash in the keirin in Copenhagen.
