Matt Clinton, Monsal Hill-Climb 2012

Former national hill-climb champion Matt Clinton (Mike Vaughan Cycles) scored a two-second victory over reigning national hill-climb champion Tejvan Pettinger (Sri Chinmoy CT) in the third round of the National Time Trial Series in Derbyshire on Good Friday.

Clinton, who won the title in 2008, clocked 1-23-23 for the 33-mile three-lap course near Longnor, while Pettinger was around a minute and a half quicker than third-placed Chris Fennell, the 18-year-old MPR @ Toachim House rider.
