In 2010, she represented Great Britain at the European Track Championships, winning gold in the team pursuit with Wendy Houvenaghel and Katie Colclough, and was two points off a medal in the omnium.
She was also selected to ride for England in the individual pursuit, scratch and points races at the Commonwealth Games in Delhi.
She won gold in the omnium at the World Junior Track Championships, along with silver in both the individual pursuit and points race. This followed a strong performance in the World Junior Road Race Championships, in which she finished fourth.
In October 2010, she was selected for the Olympic Academy Programme, which focuses on developing young riders into future champions.
In February 2012, Trott, Dani King and Jo Rowsell set a new women's team pursuit world record on their way to winning the event at the London round of the 2011-12 Track World Cup, and then promptly broke it in the Track World Championships in April.
Also at the 2012 Track Worlds, Trott underlined her all-round class by sweeping to win the women's omnium with a savvy display of tactical skill and strength.
In the London 2012 Games, Trott, King and Rowsell scorched the track to win gold and set a succession of new world records in the team pursuit. Trott then followed this up with a strong and technically brilliant performance in the women's omnium to take a second gold in her debut Games.
2013 saw Trott continue to build on her past successes, gaining victories and titles in a number of disciplines, as well as being appointed MBE.
