Navigate confidently and courageously with the iGPSPORT BiNavi Ultra
Manage multi-day routes and difficult climbs with ease
A cycling computer is a ‘must have’ for most riders, and iGPSPORT’s BiNavi Ultra offers a solution for riders who demand more from their navigation tools.
The official provider for UCI WorldTour Team Groupama-FDJ United boasts eight dedicated bike computers within its range, and the BiNavi Ultra puts a strong emphasis on route guidance and navigation.
Navigate routes with confidence
The dedicated navigation features begin with the brand’s offline navigation tool, Offline Route Planning. This feature is a game changer for international riders, those travelling through remote regions, or anyone exploring routes where mobile connectivity is far from guaranteed.
The offline maps are stored locally on the device and cover the entire globe. With it, riders are able to travel wherever they want without the worry of losing connection and thereby losing map access. That’s navigation freedom at its best.
With BiNavi Ultra, we wanted to rethink what a flagship bike computer should offer riders who explore beyond familiar roads. Navigation is at the centre of the experience — from managing multi-day routes and discovering climbs to staying on course in areas with limited connectivity. Our goal is simple: give riders more freedom to explore, with less uncertainty about the road ahead.
iGPSPORT
The Offline Planning 4.0 feature includes a number of key functions that take advantage of the offline maps. One of the most useful of these is the off-course rerouting, which automatically calculates a route back toward the course. You don’t even need to touch the device because the software will take care of the reroute for you.
Navigation confidence doesn’t end there, though. With Inertial Navigation, the BiNavi Ultra offers navigation continuity even when satellite signals are limited. This is achieved via the integrated IMU sensor and iGPSPORT’s inertial navigation algorithm so that if tunnels, mountain valleys, or dense forests are encountered, your trip doesn’t stall. Navigating mountainous or unfamiliar terrain has never been easier.
BiNavi Ultra also features Turn-by-Turn Navigation Guidance, which is designed to adapt its guidance to the route. Simple navigation alerts are provided on familiar rides, but when routes become unfamiliar, detailed turn guidance helps you navigate with confidence.
Conquer climbs like a pro
There’s a time for pre-planning every part of a ride or race, but there’s also something freeing about jumping on your bike and travelling wherever you like. At these times, you might encounter a climb that you hadn’t anticipated or be able to manage. With the BiNavi Ultra you get iClimb 4.0, which identifies upcoming climbs and reports on the gradient, remaining climbing distance, and elevation information. That puts you in total control.
As well as being prepared for inclines, you might like discovering climbs. With Auto Climb Detection and iClimb 4.0 you can find nearby climbs and use the onboard navigation software to travel directly to the beginning. Or, if you enter a recognised climb partway through rather than starting at the official beginning, BiNavi Ultra can still identify the climb and activate the dedicated climbing interface.
iClimb is capable of automatically detecting climbs as you ride, so there’s no need to preload climbing routes. While climbing, BiNavi Ultra provides real-time climb data, including remaining distance, elevation gain, and gradient changes—helping you pace yourself and conquer every ascent.
Effortless multi-day cycling trips
Some routes are single in nature, and when you get to the end of your trip, you just punch in your starting destination and return back to where you came from. But not all trips are like this. If you’re into multi-day cycling trips, stage-based routes, or long-distance touring, then you might have several individual routes and no desire to stop between them and type in the next location.
In that case, the Route Collections feature on the BiNavi Ultra is a game changer. If you’re preparing a trip, you can effortlessly bundle multi-stage itineraries in the iGPSPORT app and transfer them to the unit with a single tap. BiNavi Ultra automatically recognises each route segment and seamlessly transitions to the next leg, allowing you to focus purely on the ride.
iGPSPORT has confirmed its plans to bring additional features to the BiNavi Ultra. Via OTA they will launch Live Segments 2.0, which provides segment overlay on maps and introduces support for Strava Live Segments.
Designed to last
As well as an impressive set of features, the BiNavi Ultra boasts a solid set of specs. This begins with the 3.7-inch outdoor transflective display, which is designed to work in all types of lighting levels, including bright sun. The 480 × 854 pixel display is more than sufficient to provide a clear interface and an uncluttered navigation experience.
Beyond the display, the unit is operated by a new optical rotary dial, which allows for effortless navigation. The overall unit measures 108.3 × 60.7 × 14.3mm and weighs 122g so it’s far from cumbersome and heavy.
The BiNavi Ultra is specifically designed to deliver navigation on extended rides. That’s why BiNavi has packed it with a battery that is capable of providing between 30 and 50 hours of performance. That’s more than enough for even the longest of rides, allowing users to recharge overnight, or with fast charging, it can be fully recharged in a short 1.5-hour stop.
Additional notable features that BiNavi Ultra offers are an innovative control knob designed for reliable operation, a high-volume electronic bell so that you stay heard when it matters most, and iGPLink for connecting smart bike lights for seamless device integration. The built-in speaker can also be used for Voice navigation played via the speaker, as well as local music playback.
If you’re a cyclist who regularly rides between 100 and 300km or takes part in long-distance sporting events, then the BiNavi Ultra offers reliable navigation, excellent route visibility, and outstanding battery life. That means you can complete unfamiliar routes with confidence.
The BiNavi Ultra is available for £359.90. Find out more on the iGPSPORT website.
