British squad Madison-Genesis has just completed its pre-season training camp on the Spanish island of Majorca, and have produced a film of their exploits.
Eleven members of the UCI Continental-level team assembled on Majorca after the squad’s official launch at the IceBike show in February.
The squad made the most of the island’s roads and mountains, including Sa Calobra, which have become a mecca for cycling teams. However, as the film shows, the training camp is as much about team building as it is about building fitness.
It was also a chance for the team to get to know their new Genesis Zero road bikes, which the squad will be using throughout the 2016 season. The carbon-fibre framed machines are equipped with Shimano Dura-Ace Di2 drivetrain, Dura-Ace wheels and PRO finishing components.
The team kicks off its 2016 campaign at the Tour de Normandie in France on March 21, then its on to the opening round of the British Cycling Elite Road Series, the Chorley Grand Prix on March 26. As defending champions, the team will also be a constant factor in the Tour Series, starting from May 12 on the Isle of Man.
