The collaboration between Sir Chris and the Vulpine cycle clothing brand has extended to new kit to keep you riding comfortably through the cooler months to come.
The range includes jackets, a long sleeved jersey, bibtights, baselayer and warmers, as well as more casual T-shirts and trousers. Most of the garments are available in ladies’ sizes from XS to XL as well as men’s S to XXL. Here’s a video of the new clothing being worn by the man himself.
First up there’s a short sleeved baselayer. Priced at £34.99 it comes with flatlocked seams and is made of an odour resistant synthetic fabric which is 84% recycled. The £79.99 long sleeve roubaix jersey comes in blue or graphite. It’s got the usual three open pockets at the back plus a reflective central zipped valuables pocket. There’s a zip garage to prevent neck irritation and as for the baselayer seams are flatlocked.
The jacket range starts with the lightweight, waterproof Portixol priced at £99.00. It is packable and has a waterproof zip and venting under the arms and on the shoulders. The collar is fleece-lined to keep out draughts and catch the rain before it runs down your jersey. The Portixol jacket comes in red or black.
For those really cold and damp rides, there’s the Randa softshell jacket. For £115.00 this is claimed to be wind and rainproof whilst still retaining breathability. There are more underarm vents and reflectives here too and a waterproof zipped valuables pocket complements the two open rear pockets. To finish up the more technical winter range there are fleece lined arm and knee warmers at £27.99 each.
At £109, Hoy-Vulpine‘s roubaix bib tights come with a quality seatpad, men’s or ladies’ specific pads and bottom grippers to eliminate the need for ankle zips.
The Hoy-Vulpine range has always included some more casually styled pieces which nevertheless hide technical details. In the new winter range there’s a slate blue fleece hoody priced at £69.99. Called the Cortaldo, this has a full zip and a high, corded neck. It’s made of coolmax, so that it dries quickly too.
It can be paired up with the men’s Trail trousers. Coming in black and priced at £64.99, these have subtle cycling features like a high waistband at the back and a diamond gusset so that you don’t sit on any seams when in the saddle. They’re made of ripstop stretch fabric and have taped seams too, so that they can handle rough treatment.
Finally there are two new T-shirts with velodrome-inspired designs. Priced at £26.99 each they are all cotton and cut longer at the back for coverage when riding.
