Sir Bradley Wiggins has commenced his 2014 racing season in the Mallorca Challenge series of events.
The 2012 Tour de France winner is one of a pool of 13 Sky riders on the Spanish island taking part in the series of four one-day races.
Wiggins took part in Monday's Trofeo Campos and Tuesday's Trofeo Serra de Tramuntana races, placing 100th and 125th respectively.
Team Sky were active in both races, placing British sprinter Ben Swift in second in the Trofeo Campos and Edvald Boasson Hagen second in Trofeo Serra de Tramuntana.
Wiggins and Sky are using the races as a warm-up for the forthcoming Spring Classics and beyond.
Wiggins has said that he will target Paris-Roubaix and then take part in the Tour of California in May. He will then take part in the 2014 Tour de France alongside defending champion Chris Froome when the race starts in Yorkshire in July.

Nigel Wynn worked as associate editor on CyclingWeekly.com, he worked almost single-handedly on the Cycling Weekly website in its early days. His passion for cycling, his writing and his creativity, as well as his hard work and dedication, were the original driving force behind the website’s success. Without him, CyclingWeekly.com would certainly not exist on the size and scale that it enjoys today. Nigel sadly passed away, following a brave battle with a cancer-related illness, in 2018. He was a highly valued colleague, and more importantly, an exceptional person to work with - his presence is sorely missed.
