Jody Crawforth career profile
Jody Crawforth started out as a downhill mountain biker before moving on to cross-country mountain biking where he soon made an impression, topped by winning his first national champion’s jersey in 2004 – the Surrey man made his first appearance on the podium of the cyclo-cross national championships, taking bronze behind Roger Hammond.

With MTB racing starting to take a back seat, Crawforth focused on cross to good effect, finishing consistently in National Trophy races to win the series two years running.
Another national championship bronze behind Hammond in 2006 showed Crawforth was still a contender, but it was not until this season the Arctic rider finally struck gold. The dramatic race in Bradford ended in victory for Crawforth from Paul Oldham, while the National Trophy series saw the same two men slugging it out to the very end in Derby. Crawforth took his first victory in the series and secured the overall to seal his best season yet.
More recently, Crawforth has spent the previous few seasons with Hargroves Cycles, but despite international racing and Team GB selection, hasn't enjoyed success to such a prolific extent.
