NEXT YEAR'S PENDLE PEDAL SPORTIVE ANNOUNCED
The next Pendle Pedal Sportive will be held on Sunday 5th August 2007 and is set to be a challenging one.
The route will be kept the same as the one held this year and will go through some of the most remote areas and toughest climbs in the northwest. The 100 mile route features many of the climbs tackled by pro riders on the Tour of Britain, Kellogg?s Tour and Tour of Lancashire races, including Barley Fell, Waddington Fell, Bowland Knotts and Nick of Pendle.
For those who are still working up to full sportive distance they can take part in the 100km option.
Former pro and cycling coach Dave Lloyd was the quickest around the route last year. He said: ?Please let everyone know the event was unbelievably good, the helpers did a fantastic job and it was a professionally run event.?
Entry forms will be available in the New Year from Pennine Events on 01695 682020 and at www.pennineevents.co.uk
