Look to offer complete bikes for first time in UK

French bike manufacturer Look, is to sell complete bikes as part of its 2012 range for the first time.

Up until now Look has only sold frames and forks (with headsets and stems and seatposts for certain models), but as from next year the 566, 586UD and 695 frames will be available as complete bikes.

For £2,199 you’ll be able to get the 566 with Shimano 105 while the the 586UD will retail at £2,799 with Ultegra. At the top of the range will be the 695. The bike will be fitted with Look’s intergrated stem, seat post and cranks along with SRAM Red and Zipp 404 clinchers. it will retail at £6,999.

All the above models will still be available as frame only. It is however the Keo Power system that is more eagerly anticipated. The technology, developed by Look and Polar, measures power and the pedal crank interface and takes separate power readings from each leg.

Both the Cofidis and Quick Step teams have tested the Keo Power system but as yet they are not for sale to the public.
