Road World Championships 2013: Coverage index
The 2013 UCI Road Cycling World Championships kicks off in Florence, Italy, on Sunday September 22 with the women's and men's team time trials.
The event then takes in individual time trials and road races for elite men and women; under-23 men; and junior men and women.
The winner of each individual discipline earns the right to wear the coveted rainbow jersey of world champion for the following year.
