It is well and truly winter here in the northern hemisphere and that means dark mornings and dark evenings, so to ensure you can stay on the bike no matter where the sun or moon are in the sky, the Ravemen PR2000 is worth considering if you want to keep yourself on the move.
The PR2000 includes a raft of features, some of which are unique to Ravemen and others are just what we have come to expect from a good quality bike light. As such, there is a lot to know about the PR2000, so here are the key things we think you should know about.
The first feature which helps this piece of tech stand out from the crowd is that the PR2000 comes with a wireless remote control allowing you to keep your hands on the bars and still be able to control your light without compromising safety. This is especially useful when the roads get wet and icy and ensuring you stay rubber side down is an even higher priority.
In the same vein of ease of use, the light features a display which shows the remaining runtime and the current mode you’re on, so along with the remote, on the fly changes should be easy to make. The light also has a memory circuit that remembers the last used brightness level and mode so when you turn the light back on, it’ll stay in the last used setting meaning you won’t need to keep flicking between modes if you have a favourite one.

The PR2000 can also be used as a power bank for your phone or head unit, so if you’re out late and one of your devices is running low, you can harness the charge in the PR2000 and top up to ensure you can continue safely. On the flip-side you also have the option to plug in a power bank to increase the light's run time if you’re out for an all-night epic.
Despite the light's small form factor, it packs in a 6000 mAh battery, which on its brightness 2000 lumen setting, will provide a claimed 1.1 hour of run time. However, this goes all the way out to a claimed 25 hours when on the lights eco mode.
Due to the lights 2000 lumen output, it will be bright enough for off-road riding and therefore certainly bright enough for on-road riding. We usually recommend riding with around 1000 lumens on the road as this ensures you can be seen but also, you can see where you're going without dazzling other road users. It also helps to extend battery life and in the case of the PR2000, you can expect to get somewhere in the region of 2.5 hours of runtime.

The PR2000’s LED array also features a DuaLens optical design meaning when riding on the road, you won’t dazzle other road users or pedestrians, but instead, it puts the light where you actually need it. It works by ‘providing a broad close-range flood light with anti-glare low beam for commuting’
However, when riding off-road, you can take advantage of the HiLo beam setting which has a far reaching high beam to compliment the broad anti-glare low beam meaning nothing is left unlit.
