A solid and large glue strip on the back holds well and while the easy-to-clean material works well (not that it matters as much when it's black), it wasn't the grippiest on test in the wet.

We liked the classic look and feel of the Specialized S-Wrap handlebar tape.
The leather-like material makes for a comfortable and highly grippy finish but it took us a few attempts to get it to sit right on the handlebar.

Henry Robertshaw began his time at Cycling Weekly working with the tech team, writing reviews, buying guides and appearing in videos advising on how to dress for the seasons. He later moved over to the news team, where his work focused on the professional peloton as well as legislation and provision for cycling.
