The carbon material kept heat at bay and was particularly noticeable on the leg inserts. Like the Assos shorts, these had a non-Lycra leg grip that worked very effectively.

Lusso has gone big on the carbon thing here.
Apparently, it speeds up evaporation, keeping us cooler and reducing lactic acid build-up.
They also offered a performance fit. The flat stitching holds the medium-weight Lycra firmly in place, while a gel pad is comfortable.
