Chris Froome and Sir Bradley Wiggins will line up together at Milan-San Remo on March 23.
Britain's two Tour de France winners will take part in the longest one-day event on the calendar shortly after tackling the Tirreno-Adriatico stage race (March 12-18), where they will ride together on Team Sky for the first time this season.
Both riders are likely to play a support role at the 299km Italian Monument. However the inclusion of the new climb of the Pompeiana at a key point in the race should suit the pair.
The ascent, which in parts reaches 14%, comes sandwiched between the Cipressa and Poggio climbs in the final 40km. It tips the balance of power away from the pure sprinters and towards the better climbers and attackers.
2009 winner Mark Cavendish (Omega Pharma-Quickstep) has already told reporters that he will not attempt to win a second title in San Remo this season.
Ian Stannard was Sky's best placed rider in 2013. He finished sixth behind winner Gerald Ciolek (MTN-Qhubeka) after making it into the decisive breakaway move over the top of the Poggio climb.
A Team Sky spokesperson confirmed to CW that Froome will start his 2014 campaign at the Tour of Oman on February 18, where he will be defending champion.
Wiggins will begin racing at the Challenge Majorca between February 9-12 before his rendezvous with Froome at Tirreno. He will also race at the Tour of California between May 11-18.
The team was unable to confirm whether either rider would be Sky's leader for the Tour de France, which starts in Yorkshire on July 5.
Froome has stated his desire to defend his Tour title, while Wiggins last week told the Team Sky website that he was looking forward to racing with Froome in 2014.
