The organiser of the Rotterdam Six-Day, Frank Boelé, raised the idea of a London Six to be held near the O2 Arena.

His company, International Six-Day Organisation has used a temporary track for the recent Rotterdam Six.

The temporary track ? Flextrack ? can be put up inside 24 hours and can be either a 200-metre track or reduced to 182 metres or 167 metres (the same size as the track used for the Ghent Six at t’Kuipke).

A full 200-metre track needs a floor area of 89 metres by 45 metres.

And the Flextrack received plenty of positive feedback after the Rotterdam Six, with riders saying it was every bit as good as a permanent structure.
