Cyclist suffers head injuries after allegedly being kicked off bike by passing motorcyclist

Incident took place in Hull on Tuesday July 25.

Police are seeking a motorcyclist over the assault of a cyclist in Hull which caused the cyclist fall off his bike and suffer head injuries as he fell into a parked car.

A spokesperson for Humberside Police said that the force is appealing for witnesses of the incident, which took place on Greenwood Avenue at the junction with Ellerburn Avenue at 5.40pm on Tuesday July 25.

“A 57-year-old man was cycling along the road when an unknown person on motorbike approached him from behind and allegedly kicked the victims bike as they passed,” the spokesperson said.

“This caused the cyclist to fall into a parked car, hitting his head in the process. The victim sustained gash to his forehead requiring a number of stitches at Hull Royal Infirmary.”
