A vehicle being driven by the father of CSC stars Frank and Andy Schleck, was searched at the beginning of the 18th stage today.

The stage began in Bourg D'Oisans and Johnny Schleck is believed to have been stopped along with another vehicle from the Tour's caravan.

Customs chiefs stopped both vehicles, both of which were registered in Luxembourg, and searched them. However, an official later revealed that no doping products or illicit substances were found during the long search.

The vehicle from the caravan was being driven by a journalist and was allowed to proceed.

Johnny Schleck was a former professional himself, riding with the Belgian star Eddy Merckx.

Frank (pictured with brother Andy) is currently second in the overall classification, 1-24 behind teammate Carlos Sastre, whilst Andy is currently leading the young riders' classification.
