TAYLOR TAKES NATIONAL CRIT
Having made a couple of mistakes in recent rounds of the Elite Circuit Series, the Plowman Craven Racing Team got everything right on Sunday when they took the top two places in British Cycling Elite Circuit Race Championship.
The race was won by James Taylor from Tony Gibb in a 19-rider charge for the line after 40 laps of a town-centre circuit in Horwich, Greater Manchester.
The victory came after a major split in the bunch at the mid-point in the race. Surviving heavy rain and slippery roads, the team then kept all attacks in check in order to set Gibb up for victory. But in the end it was Taylor who proved fastest in the sprint to claim his 26th national title.
