If, after launching headphones made from African Sheep Leather and some wet weather jersey and shorts with a combined cost of £480, you thought Rapha might run out of ideas, then think again as the North London brand has just released a new app to help riders join and organise group rides.

The Rapha RCC app is designed to help Rapha Cycling Club members link up with their fellow clubmates, to plan routes and organise and join rides, something which could be especially if you’re travelling in a new city and don’t fancy riding on your own.
However, although the app is free, it is only accessible for members of the Rapha Cycling Club, which costs £135 for a rolling 12 month membership, making it a bit pricier than your average British cycling club. Although for the price you go get a few more perks than the standard free tea and cakes after an evening ’10’, with exclusive access to club kit and events, free coffee at Rapha Cycle Clubs, and cheap bike hire when travelling.
We’ll have to wait and see whether the app proves popular for Rapha members, and if so we’d love to see it opened up for non-members looking for riding mates, even if their kit isn’t quite as en vogue.
