Lincolnshire to host 2015 British Road National Championships
British Cycling confirms that Lincolnshire will be the venue for the 2015 National Championship road race and time trial events

Lincolnshire has been announced as the host county for the 2015 British Cycling Road National Championships, which include the men's and women's road race and time trial titles.
Lincolnshire was selected on Wednesday after the British Cycling (BC) board endorsed a recommendation that the county host the event made by the BC Road Commission.
“In recent years the national road championships have become an iconic event on the cycling calendar bringing together a cast made up of globally recognised sportsmen and women," said Jonny Clay, cycle sport and membership director at British Cycling.
"Each place that hosts the event stands on the shoulders of those that have hosted before and takes on the responsibility for further building the reputation of our championship.
"With the status of the Lincoln Grand Prix already clearly established on the domestic cycling calendar, Lincolnshire has all the ingredients for a superb championship and we look forward to visiting in 2015."
The 2014 Road National Championships will take place over June 26-29 in Monmouthshire.

Nigel Wynn worked as associate editor on CyclingWeekly.com, he worked almost single-handedly on the Cycling Weekly website in its early days. His passion for cycling, his writing and his creativity, as well as his hard work and dedication, were the original driving force behind the website’s success. Without him, CyclingWeekly.com would certainly not exist on the size and scale that it enjoys today. Nigel sadly passed away, following a brave battle with a cancer-related illness, in 2018. He was a highly valued colleague, and more importantly, an exceptional person to work with - his presence is sorely missed.
