Trek-Segafredo are riding eight custom-painted bikes at Amgen Tour of California
Grand Tours aren’t the only occasions for brands to present their best models and new projects. Trek-Segafredo decided to present eight of their custom-painted Madone and Emonda at the Amgen Tour of California.
The American team presented on its Facebook page the eight bikes which were realised with the programme Project One. They might not be as cool as the one realised for Fabian Cancellara, but they’re quite unique.
The Italian Niccolo Bonifazio is pictured with his grey-based Madone with red shades on the top tube, seatstays and chainstays, while the Belgian Jasper Stuyven went for a yellow theme on his one. There is also a far mention for the Giro d’Italia, as the American rider Kiel Reijnen picked a whole pink Madone, a clear reference of the Corsa Rosa’s leader jersey.
Trek’s Project One is an online tool that anybody can use. On Trek’s website you can pick your favourite model (in addition to Madone and Emonda, you can go for Domane SLR, Silque SSL, Speed Concept 9 Series, Fuel EX 29, Top Fuel SL and Procaliber SL), choose the frame you prefer, personalize it with five different options, and finish it by adding specific drivetrain, groupset, tyres, handlebar, saddle and seatpost. When you’re finished, you can just insert your credit card details and request a home delivery.
