Giro d'Italia 2019 stage one time trial start times: Tom Dumoulin off first
Simon Yates will be the third last rider to set off
Stage one of the 2019 Giro d'Italia is a short individual time trial, which will provide an immediate test for the GC contenders.
The 8.2km course is flat for the first six kilometres before a 2km climb to the finish, which has an average gradient of 9.7 per cent.
Primož Roglič (Jumbo-Visma) is the favourite to take the stage win and the maglia rosa after an impressive ITT in the final stage of the Tour de Romandie where he beat new UCI Hour Record holder Victor Campenaerts (Lotto-Soudal) by 13 seconds.
Here are the start times for all 176 riders on the stage one time trial (subtract one hour for British time).

Jonny was Cycling Weekly's Weekend Editor until 2022.
I like writing offbeat features and eating too much bread when working out on the road at bike races.
Before joining Cycling Weekly I worked at The Tab and I've also written for Vice, Time Out, and worked freelance for The Telegraph (I know, but I needed the money at the time so let me live).
I also worked for ITV Cycling between 2011-2018 on their Tour de France and Vuelta a España coverage. Sometimes I'd be helping the producers make the programme and other times I'd be getting the lunches. Just in case you were wondering - Phil Liggett and Paul Sherwen had the same ham sandwich every day, it was great.
