Mark Cavendish is the cover star adorning the front of July’s issue of Cycle Sport magazine, on sale from Wednesday.
CS visits the British sprint star at his training base in Italy prior to his appearance in the Giro d’Italia this month. Cavendish is part of a strong British cycling community in Quarrata and CS goes for a ride and hangs out with Cavendish, Ian Stannard, Steve Cummings, Geraint Thomas and Jonny Bellis.
Is Levi better than Lance? All the media attention is on Lance Armstrong’s comeback, but it’s the Texan’s Astana team-mate Levi Leipheimer who is grabbing all of the wins. CS talks to the dark horse of American cycling.
Plus: Robbie McEwen picks his ten best wins; Paris-Roubaix in pictures; Columbia-Highroad at Ghent-Wevelgem; exclusive interview with Tyler Farrar; Olympic and world champion Nicole Cooke; Iconic places: Mur de Huy; and much more.
Cycle Sport July 2009 issue is on sale from Wednesday May 13 at WHSmith, major supermarkets and all good newsagents, priced £4.10.
