For Argon 18, this is its first time as bike sponsor of a WorldTour level team. Last year, it provided bikes to the Bora-Argon 18 Pro Continental squad, which raced the Tour de France and Vuelta a España.
“The WorldTour circuit is the world stage of cycling and Argon 18 makes bikes for the world,” says Gervais Rioux, Founder and CEO of Argon 18.
“To be associated with Astana Pro Team and the WorldTour confirms once more our status of leading global bike manufacturer in the industry. We are very enthusiastic about this new partnership and what it means for Argon 18’s future.”
There will also be a change of component provider for Astana, with FSA and its Vision sub-brand replacing Campagnolo.
The Argon 18 Gallium Pro on display was kitted out with FSA’s new WE electronic groupset and its matching chainset, along with deep section Vision wheels.

Also stepping up as co-sponsor of Astana is another Quebecois Canadian company, Premier Tech. The team’s apparel will be provided by Italian brand Giordana, replacing MOA.
The deal between Astana and Argon 18 will see the team riding the brand’s bikes for the next three seasons.
