Eddy Merckx Cycles has launched the EMX-525 for the 2013 season, the bike that will be used by the Belgian Topsport Vlaanderen-Mercator Pro Cycling Team.
The aerodynamic carbon-fibre EMX-525 has been designed with electric shifting groupsets in mind and boasts numerous features that are bang up-to-date such as the ‘integrated’ fork that gives the front end a very clean set of lines.

The stays are asymmetrical to distribute pedalling forces evenly. Also included is an aero seatpost.
Overall, the design is striking with flowing lines matched to angular sections to create a bike that certainly looks different to competitors’ offerings.
It will be available in red/white/carbon and black/white/carbon in sizes 48, 50, 52, 54, 56, 58 and 60cm.
Price for the frame and fork is £2,899.99. A complete bike built with Shimano Ultegra Di2 groupset and Fulcrum Racing Quattro wheelset costs £4,499.99.
