Twitter and Facebook users react to Team Sky's announcement of their line-up of nine riders for the 2016 Tour de France

British WorldTour outfit Team Sky announced their nine-man roster for the 2016 Tour de France on Wednesday afternoon, and the cycling world gave its verdict on the selection via social media.
There were no major surprises in the nine men selected to ride the 103rd edition of the Tour, with Chris Froome returning to defend his title - and with a team built to help him.
Froome will be joined by Geraint Thomas, Ian Stannard, Luke Rowe, Vasil Kiryienka, Mikel Landa, Mikel Nieve, Wout Poels and Sergio Henao.

Nigel Wynn worked as associate editor on CyclingWeekly.com, he worked almost single-handedly on the Cycling Weekly website in its early days. His passion for cycling, his writing and his creativity, as well as his hard work and dedication, were the original driving force behind the website’s success. Without him, CyclingWeekly.com would certainly not exist on the size and scale that it enjoys today. Nigel sadly passed away, following a brave battle with a cancer-related illness, in 2018. He was a highly valued colleague, and more importantly, n exceptional person to work with - his presence is sorely missed.
