- Comfy in use
- Few stokes needed to inflate tyre
- Component change needed to swap between valve types
Price as reviewed:
With its turned wooden handle and flush Allen key mounting, the Sport FD was probably the comfiest pump in the test.
While not a buying choice per se, it’s testament to the rest of the features as nothing detracted from this quality feel.
The 90-degree Speed Chuck head simply pushes onto Presta valves and holds in place.
The angled head also means it will work well with oddly shaped or enclosed wheels. It will fit both valve types but does need a component reorienting to do so. While this loses it a perfect 10, the 22-stroke performance and quality feel warrant the highscore.
