Paul Power, who runs Coastal Cycles and Dutch Bike Shop in Littlehampton has created an epetition on the government website asking for VAT to be lifted on these necessary bits of safety equipment.
“At the moment lights are treated as a luxury item and I believe that this is wrong. Cycle lights are not only a mandatory requirement, but, can potentially save lives,” Mr Power said.
A full interview with Paul Power will appear in next week’s Cycling Weekly, on sale from Thursday October 10.
