Witnesses sought after cyclist in Blackburn fractures skull in motorbike collision

Police in Lancashire are appealing to witnesses of a collision between a cyclist and a motorbike in Darwen on Thursday afternoon.

The 39-year-old cyclist suffered a fractured skull and bruising on the brain in the accident, which happened on Bridge Street at the junction of Bolton Road.

After the accident, the cyclist was taken to Royal Preston Hospital where his injuries were confirmed. The 64-year-old motorcyclist, who was riding a Yamaha, was taken to the Royal Blackburn Hospital with a suspected broken pelvis, according to the Lancaster and Morecambe Citizen.
