Mark Cavendish reveals his new kit for 2013

Pictures of Mark Cavendish in his new Omega Pharma QuickStep kit were released on January 1 as his new Belgian team showed off its latest signing.

Cavendish was allowed to leave Team Sky at the end of 2012 after just one year with the British team. Riding in the world champions kit he rarely got the full lead out train that he had become accustomed too at his previous team. The final straw came at the Tour de France, when, riding for Bradley Wiggins, the team chose not to work for a bunch sprint on two stages.

At Omega Pharma Cavendish will have a team built behind him for the Grand Tours while Tom Boonen will be the obvious leader for the classics. Cavendish is likely to ride both the Giro d'Italia and Tour de France. He is set to kick-off his season at the Tour of Qatar in January and make his first ever start in Paris-Nice in March.
