Santini is the official supplier of the Giro d’Italia’s leaders’ jerseys, the launch of which we covered in January. In addition to replicas of these jerseys, Santini is this year selling jerseys for four of the Giro’s individual stages.
The stage 1 jersey comes in turquoise, black and white with flower motifs on the sleeves. The jersey for the stage 14 time trial, which takes place in the prosecco wine producing region, features grape and wine glass motifs.
There are also stage jerseys for stage five, the first mountain top finish this year, with a pine tree coloured design and for stage eleven which finishes at Ferrari’s Imola circuit and comes in Ferrari red and black.
Priced at £74.99, all the stage jerseys are made in lightweight fabric, have a close fit and a full zip with a chunky puller. The fabric on the rear of the jersey is a more open weave than that on the front. There are the usual three rear pockets.
Santini sells replicas of all the Giro classification jerseys, also for £74.99. These are made to a slightly different pattern and have a three quarter front zip. There’s a pink jersey for general classification, a red one for points, a blue one for the climbers and a white one for best young rider. For the less ambitious, there’s also black Maglia Nera, a homage the jersey awarded between 1946 and 1951 to the rider sitting last on general classification.
