The organisers of the 2017 Vuelta a España could not have hoped for a better finale to the race, with the final general classification hinging on the last summit finish.

Stage 20 finishes atop the Alto de l’Angliru, the gruelling climb that features brutal sections of over 20 per cent gradient.
It will provide a fitting final mountain test for the race before Sunday’s processional stage into Madrid.

The last stage of the 2017 Vuelta a España take place on Sunday, September 10. Starting in Arroyomolinos, the short and flat 117.6km route finishes in Madrid with a circuit-based finale.
