A long cuff provides some extra ankle warmth and protection under tights and overshoes, and a reinforced heel and toe increases comfort.
Recommended temperature range is between -6 and 6°C. We found them to be cosy and durable and importantly they didn’t affect the fit of the shoe.
Some thicker winter socks actually result in colder feet by making shoes tighter and restricting blood flow, but not these.
