Hoy will not be the only former professional cyclist to appear though, as thanks to headline sponsors Assos, former British national road race champion and Vuelta a Espana stage winner Malcolm Elliott will also be on site and taking part in the flagship sportive.
The sportive offers route choices of 102, 70 and 43 miles, with 2500 expected riders , space at the event is running out fast.
As usual there will be the same mechanical support and high quality feed stations en route for all riders and with Sir Chris set to be in attendance, the fourth edition of the Box Hill Original will certainly be extra special.
