The latest versions of the popular cycling video games Pro Cycling Manager and Le Tour de France will be released in June, just weeks before the ‘real’ Tour de France starts in Normandy on July 2.
Both games feature realistic simulations of riders taking part in the biggest bike races around the world.
Le Tour de France 2016 is a game for the Microsoft X-Box One and Sony Playstation PS4, and as the name suggests focuses on the Tour but also includes other events, such as the Criterium du Dauphine and Criterium International. The routes of the 2016 races are faithfully recreated.
The player controls a rider through the races, deciding on race tactics. You can play the game solo, play against others or join forces in a co-operative mode.
PC users can benefit from expanded gameplay in Pro Cycling Manager 2016, where you manage an entire team of riders throughout the race season. A dazzling array of 200 events are included in the game.
Every aspect of the cycling team can be controlled, from signing riders, training them, then making real-time decisions on the racing during events.
The multiplayer mode has been revamped for 2016, allowing players to challenge other managers from anywhere in the world and create their own races.
