A female cyclist in her 20s has died after a collision with a taxi in Peterborough in the early hours of Thursday morning.
The woman, who cannot be named yet because a formal identification has not been made, was travelling along Bourges Boulevard at around 12.50am when the collision occurred.
Peterborough Today reports the car, a London taxi cab, was travelling north at the time of the incident and the 59-year-old driver was unhurt.
A spokesman for the East of England Ambulance Service said: “We received a call at 12.50am to a report of a woman who had been seriously injured in a road traffic collision in Bourges Boulevard.
“An ambulance crew, paramedic in a rapid response vehicle, and a response car from the East Anglian Air Ambulance attended the scene.”
Witnesses of the collision the collision, or either vehicle involved, should contact PC Martin Lobley at the collision investigation unit on 101.
