Competitive Cyclist Saving Tips
Join Summit Club
Sign up for Summit club for some of the easiest savings. The base tier is completely free to join and grants you a 10% off annual birthday coupon and early access to major sales.
If you spend loads on gear, you can upgrade to Summit Club+ for $49 a year. This paid tier is great for serious cyclists, offering instant 10% cash back on almost every purchase, free 2-day shipping on orders over $150, a birthday coupon, and direct access to a dedicated Gearhead to help you build your perfect bike.
Military & Healthcare discounts
If you are an active-duty military member, veteran, retiree, nurse, medical provider, first responder, or teacher, you can get 20% off your order. You simply need to verify your status using the ID.me widget located in the Special Offers section of their site.
Utilize the 5% Price Match Guarantee
Never pay full price if you don't have to. If you find the exact same in-stock item (matching size, colour, and model year) sold for less by an authorised US-based online retailer, Competitive Cyclist won't just match the price; they will beat it by 5%. If you have already bought your item and they lower the price on their own site within 30 days, they will also credit you the difference. Simply chat with a live Gearhead agent online to process the adjustment.
Note: Bikes do not qualify for the 5% discount but will still be price-matched.
Subscribe to the newsletter
Signing up for the Competitive Cyclist email newsletter is the fastest way to slash the price of a single high-ticket item. New subscribers receive an exclusive welcome promo code for 15% off one full-priced item. Plus, you'll be first to know whenever there is a big sale or discount.
Shop the Sale & Gearhead Picks
Competitive Cyclist sometimes runs large-scale clearance events. Head straight to their Sale tab to find past-season premium apparel from brands like Castelli and Pearl Izumi discounted by up to 50%, alongside heavy markdowns on road tyres and mountain bike drivetrains.

How we source coupon codes
Cycling Weekly has a dedicated Coupons team that sources codes and regularly updates pages to show the most recent deals and info. We curate all of our pages ourselves - no third parties are involved in creating our content or sourcing our codes and deals.
Our Commercial team keeps close ties with affiliate networks and trusted brands, using these relationships to source exclusive offers, whilst our Offers team scours retailer and competitor websites to find the latest codes, testing them at the checkout as they go.
We then upload the best discounts to our pages, along with helpful info on sales and shipping, membership programs, military and student discounts, and insider tips from industry experts. Our pages are also refreshed multiple times a week to ensure they remain up to date with the latest ways to save.
How we test coupon codes
Our dedicated Coupons team checks the web and our affiliate networks regularly to ensure we’re uploading the latest deals and information, including expiry dates and terms and conditions for individual codes. All codes are verified by hand-testing them at checkout, as if we were placing an order, to ensure they can be applied. Codes are uploaded only once we know they work as intended, and to ensure anyone who visits Cycling Weekly can use one of our codes, we don’t include any one-time-use or user-specific codes on our pages.
What to do if a coupon code doesn’t work
Although our team tests every code before it is uploaded, codes can sometimes expire or have their terms updated before we have a chance to update our pages, which can mean your code doesn’t work as anticipated. If you run into any issues using a code at checkout, our team is available to support.
The first step is to check the terms and conditions of the individual offer you’re trying to redeem. Head back to the page on which you found your code and click the text that reads “See Terms & Conditions”. This will reveal any specific requirements you may need to meet, which might include verification (i.e. for student discounts), meeting a minimum spend (i.e. $50 off when you spend $300 or more), or buying certain combinations of items in the same order (i.e. free accessories with every e-bike).
If you’ve checked the relevant terms and conditions of your offer and found that you meet them, but are still experiencing issues, contact our team for support. Make sure to include details of the code you tried to use, which of our pages it was listed on, and a summary of the issue you experienced in your email, and our team will be in touch as soon as they can to help.
How we make money
Whenever you use a coupon code listed on Cycling Weekly, we may receive compensation in the form of commission if you go on to make a purchase. The amount of commission we earn will depend on the retailer you place an order with and our relationship with them.
By adopting this commission model, we can offer our coupons at no cost to you, so you don’t pay any fees to get a discount on your order. You’ll just need to pay the discounted total for your order once your code has been applied.
