FAQs

Does Scott Sports offer free shipping?

Yes! Scott Sports offers free shipping on US orders over $49, shipped via FedEx SmartPost Economy and usually arriving within 4-14 business days. However, Bicycles don’t qualify unless there is a free bike shipping promotion. Also, Skis, ski boots, and avalanche packs have a $20 surcharge due to their specialised shipping requirements.

What is SCOTT’s return policy?

You get 30 days of free returns on full-priced items bought from the online store. Products need to go back in their original packaging with all documents, tags and labels included. If you’re in the lower 48, you generate your own prepaid return label through SCOTT’s returns portal and drop the parcel at a FedEx location. Customers in Alaska and Hawaii need to contact SCOTT’s Customer Experience Team directly to arrange a return.

Can I return a Scott bike?

Yes, you can return a Scott bike within 30 days; however, the bike needs to come back in new or like-new condition, which Scott defines as either still in its delivery packaging or having been ridden up and down the street. There should be no scuffing or dirt anywhere beyond minor dirt on the tyres, and no evidence of longer rides. You’ll also need the original box, which is designed to be reused, so keep hold of all packaging for 30 days just in case

What is SCOTT’s Accident Replacement program?

It’s Scott's scheme for getting riders back on the bike after a crash, and unlike many competitor brands, it’s usable by first and second owners rather than just the original buyer. Since crash damage isn’t covered under the standard manufacturer’s guarantee, Scott's Accident Replacement program helps you up to three years after the original purchase date by giving up to 50% off a new bike during the first year, then 30% and 20% off the second and third years.

Saving Tips

Shop the sale

Shopping in the sale section is the best way to save at Scott Sports. Here, you can save up to 50% on some amazing gear, from helmets, tyres and backpacks to full bikes, so it's always worth checking here first before you commit to any extra equipment or even a new bike, in case you can save.

Sign up for the newsletter

Newsletters are one of the best ways to save some dough at most retailers. Scott Sports may send exclusive deals, discounts and sales that only members have access to, plus you'll get early notice on any sales so you can get the best gear before its gone.

Keep hold of your receipts

Registration alone isn’t enough to keep the full five-year warranty without issues. SCOTT’s warranty terms reduce frame coverage from five years to three if you can’t provide any proof of annual maintenance, so keeping your dealer invoices somewhere sensible is worth two extra years of frame coverage, and it costs you nothing but the effort.

Break down your bike box and keep it for 30 days

SCOTT requires bikes to be returned in the original box, which is built to be reused, and its own advice is to hold onto all packaging for the full 30-day window. Bin it the day your bike arrives, and you’ll have a problem if the fit isn’t right.

Keep the first ride short if you're unsure

A returned bike must be in new or like-new condition, with no scuffing or dirt beyond minor marks on the tyres and no evidence of longer rides. Their own benchmark is a spin up and down the street. Treat that first outing as a fit check rather than a shakedown ride, and you keep your return option open.

How we source coupon codes

Cycling Weekly has a dedicated Coupons team that sources codes and regularly updates pages to show the most recent deals and info. We curate all of our pages ourselves - no third parties are involved in creating our content or sourcing our codes and deals.

Our Commercial team keeps close ties with affiliate networks and trusted brands, using these relationships to source exclusive offers, whilst our Offers team scours retailer and competitor websites to find the latest codes, testing them at the checkout as they go.

We then upload the best discounts to our pages, along with helpful info on sales and shipping, membership programs, military and student discounts, and insider tips from industry experts. Our pages are also refreshed multiple times a week to ensure they remain up to date with the latest ways to save.

How we test coupon codes

Our dedicated Coupons team checks the web and our affiliate networks regularly to ensure we’re uploading the latest deals and information, including expiry dates and terms and conditions for individual codes. All codes are verified by hand-testing them at checkout, as if we were placing an order, to ensure they can be applied. Codes are uploaded only once we know they work as intended, and to ensure anyone who visits Cycling Weekly can use one of our codes, we don’t include any one-time-use or user-specific codes on our pages.

What to do if a coupon code doesn’t work

Although our team tests every code before it is uploaded, codes can sometimes expire or have their terms updated before we have a chance to update our pages, which can mean your code doesn’t work as anticipated. If you run into any issues using a code at checkout, our team is available to support.

The first step is to check the terms and conditions of the individual offer you’re trying to redeem. Head back to the page on which you found your code and click the text that reads “See Terms & Conditions”. This will reveal any specific requirements you may need to meet, which might include verification (i.e. for student discounts), meeting a minimum spend (i.e. $50 off when you spend $300 or more), or buying certain combinations of items in the same order (i.e. free accessories with every e-bike).

If you’ve checked the relevant terms and conditions of your offer and found that you meet them, but are still experiencing issues, contact our team for support. Make sure to include details of the code you tried to use, which of our pages it was listed on, and a summary of the issue you experienced in your email, and our team will be in touch as soon as they can to help.

How we make money

Whenever you use a coupon code listed on Cycling Weekly, we may receive compensation in the form of commission if you go on to make a purchase. The amount of commission we earn will depend on the retailer you place an order with and our relationship with them.

By adopting this commission model, we can offer our coupons at no cost to you, so you don’t pay any fees to get a discount on your order. You’ll just need to pay the discounted total for your order once your code has been applied.
