It's time to vote for who you think is the greatest professional British cyclist, with some new names on the list as the Rio 2016 Olympic Games get into full swing

We are once again asking you to take part in the poll to see who is the best British cyclist of all time. With this cycling quiz you can up and down vote riders to try and influence the final outcome.

What’s more, we’ve added a couple of new names due to their exploits on the track at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, which are happening right now.

The poll itself is sure to get people talking, most likely about who isn’t featured. Based on performances and their profile, we’ve come up with a list of riders to see who our readers think is the best professional British cyclist ever.

Of course, if this was a poll to see who the nation’s favourite rider is it would be far wider reaching, but that’s a poll for another time.

Comments on Chris Froome‘s childhood and Sir Bradley Wiggins‘s place of birth have been done to death, and both riders are rightly included in the list of options.

The poll is concerned with road and track cycling rather than covering cyclocross or any mountain biking categories, as the tarmac and the velodrome are where British riders have had the most success.
