Tickets remain on sale for a star-studded get-together to mark 20 years of the Dave Rayner Fund.
The fund was set up in 1994 after Rayner’s tragic death and has helped kick-start the careers of riders such as David Millar, Dan Martin and in more recent times Ian Stannard and Adam Yates by providing them grants to enable them to live and race abroad.
The annual Dave Rayner Fund dinner has been given an extra special dimension this year because of the anniversary and guests including Millar, Lizzie Armitstead and Ben Swift will be joined by other British cycling greats for the evening.
Taking place at Leeds’ New Dock Hall on Saturday, November 8, riders past and present will be interviewed on stage with unique cycling memorabilia being auctioned off to raise more money for the fund.
This year, Tao Geoghegan Hart, Dan McLay and Hannah Barnes have all benefited from the fund’s grants and gone on to have stellar years in the peloton.
Tickets for the dinner can be bought from the Dave Rayner Fund Dinner website.
