“It was great fun today,” said Davies at the finish. “When we started out it was windy, it was raining and I was layered up like Father Christmas, but it was really pretty and really challenging and I thoroughly enjoyed it.” Davies managed to finish in a gold-standard time.
Martin Woolcott of Devon was the lucky recipient of a one-off Dartmoor Demon cycling jersey signed by cycling legend Chris Boardman. Every rider taking part in the event was entered into a draw to win the exclusive jersey.
The next event in the Cycling Weekly Sportive Series is the South Downs Sportive on Saturday, May 18. Full event details including route map and online entry>>
Riders completing four or more events in the CW sportive series will receive a personalised trophy to recognise their efforts.
