Police are asking for people who witnessed a fatal cycling accident in Manchester this morning to come forward with information.
Artur Piotr Ruszel, 45, collided with a Honda Jazz on Upper Brook Street just after 7.30am, passing away a few hours later in Manchester Royal Infirmary.
The car was reportedly travelling in the same direction as Ruszel when the two collided near the junction with Brunswick Street.
Sergeant Paul Higgins, of Greater Manchester Police, said: “We need the public’s help in ascertaining the exact circumstances of this collision.
“Given this was during a busy time when lots of people were travelling to work, I hope that some people will be able to contact us with details of what they saw.”
Ruszel is the latest cyclist to die on Britain’s roads in 2015, with the total standing at six by January 9 when a 46-year-old man was killed in Dorset.
Anyone with information is asked to call police on 0161 856 4745 or Crimestoppers, anonymously on 0800 555 111.
